Product Specifications

The right details for every product.

A light fitting's colour temperature. A tile's grout colour. The instructions that make sure the imported Italian sink is installed correctly.

Lighting product and category specifications
Capture the details behind each selection, organise them around your workflow and keep product information together rather than scattered across notes and files.

Lighting and paint need different details.

Light fittings and wall finishes need different information. Choose a product category and Programa adds the relevant specification fields alongside shared details such as dimensions, material and finish. Give technical requirements a proper place, instead of burying everything in a generic description.

Lighting product with category-specific specification fields

Make room for the specifics.

Some details are unique to a particular selection. Add custom specifications with your own labels and values, such as grout colour, lay pattern or installation requirements. Keep supplier documents and images attached, so the product's full specification is there when your team needs it.

Custom specification fields attached to a product

Organise beyond rooms and categories.

Categories describe what a product is. Labels capture how your studio needs to work with it. Mark selections as Client Supplied, Builder Supplied, Existing or Custom Made, then filter and group them into focused Schedules around responsibilities or work packages, without duplicating the products.

Products organised with labels and filters

Account for every cost.

Delivery costs should not disappear inside unit prices. Enter estimated shipping against products as a separate, flat amount. Use the project's shipping setting to include estimates in the client total or exclude them and display them separately.

Share instructions. Keep internal notes private.

Keep installation instructions, requirements and warnings with the product, and include them in shared Schedules or exports when needed. Use internal notes for context that belongs only to your project team. Those notes stay out of shared Schedules and PDFs, without losing their connection to the selection.

"Programa is very useful, particularly in our larger projects, where a lot of information must be given to the contractor and various vendors."

"I send a link to a client and they literally have to go in and just say, approve, approve, approve. We don't like that. Can we change that?"
